Guild Tradeskill Prices/info:
Visit our player's vendors. Feel free to use the private message system of our guild's public forums once you have established contact with one of our crafters. If you need something salvaged, our guild salvagers usually charge 20% to guild members. This means if you have 1000 diamond bars you need turned into trinkets to be sold, the salvager keeps 200 for themselves as payment for their time. If you are outside of guild and need salvaging the rate will probably be higher than 20%, but it is up to each crafter/salvager to set their own prices/rates. This is a system we've had in place for several years without complaints. If you need salvaging(and you agree to the terms listed above) try making a post saying so on on our guild forums and someone may be able to have time for you.

Guild Rules
1. No profanity, racial slurs, or verbal attacks on guild chat. Keep the chat clean.
2. No begging: Please refrain from begging for items, money, or power-levels. The guild is well established and very generous, make a friend and you're bound to find what you need. Use the forums to request help obtaining items.
3. No spamming guild channel (repeating the same line over and over filling up more than 3 lines of text).
3. No breaking of Mythic's rules. (And if it isn't explicit in the official game rules, no cheating).
Enforcement
First time offenders are given a warning.
Repeat offenders are demoted or kicked from the guild.
Guild Structure
The guild is run by Officers. To see the complete guild heirarchy, type "/gc info" in the game. The Guild Leader handles inter-guild issues (relations with other guilds and players outside of the guild). Officers handle domestic issues (guild events, conflicts, promotions/demotions, new officer voting). Current Guildleaders are Bigham (in charge of the officers); Krakskul (in charge of technical stuff); Elfdata, Vanyell and Misterfrog(RvR and Domestic leaders).
Promotions
Upon attaining level 20(level 35 for characters that have used /level 30), new guild members will be promoted to the rank allowing them to speak on the Alliance Channel (Officers reserve the right NOT to promote someone due to a language problem or other issue).
Additional promotions may be awarded for good deeds (up to the rank of Officer). All promotions up to Officer rank are handled by Officers.
Becoming an Officer
To become an Officer, you must have a minimum of 1 month of active play in the guild. Officer-Hopefuls should be members in good standing (have not caused guild problems, have not violated guild rules, and HAVE helped the guild grow stronger). If you wish to be an officer and meet those requirements, speak to a current officer and ask them to endorse you for that position. From that point, the Officers will discuss and vote. This may take some time. In the event of multiple people applying for Officership, seniority and "helpfulness to the guild" will be taken into account. You must win 3/4ths majority approval from the guild's current active Officers. Please do not be offended if you are not selected on your first attempt. There is a good chance you'll be chosen in time. Be aware that even though you are the perfect potential officer for the guild, there may not be a position available to fill.
In summary:
1. Minimum 1 month active participation in the guild.
2. Get an endorsement from a current officer.
3. Wait and see in next election.
Guild History
Rain of Steel was founded in 1998 by a group of Everquest players. Like most EQ guilds, when DAoC was released, guildmembers migrated over to the new game. A minority of the guildmembers wished to be Hibernians(Haha come on, our Realm rocks!!). This group moved to Galahad and formed the current Rain of Steel! Members, both current and former, are from all over the world, with the most residing in the US/Canada/Europe. All races, genders, and ages are welcome to join (Though we have several Francophones, the language on guild chat should be English please).
